Team Frequently Asked Questions

What is the level of play?: Rib Mountain Rampage is a Varsity & Junior Varsity level tournament. Separate boys and girls divisions will be offered.
How many players are on a team?: Between 8 and 14 players may be on a team roster.
What is the game format?: Olympic 6’s is set up with 5 players on the field plus 1 goalkeeper. The game will consist of (4) 8-minute running time quarters. Each quarter will begin with a draw and continues on unless officials blow their whistle. Play only beings again with the referee’s whistle, no self-starts. After a goal, the goalkeeper will have 5 seconds to clear the ball to their teammates for play to resume.
How long are the games?: Approximately 40-minutes, consisting of (4) 8-minute running time quarters, 2-minute quarter breaks and a 4-minute halftime.
Is there a shot clock?: Yes- 30 seconds. The shot clock will begin each time a team gains possession. The shot clock will reset if: shot hits GK or pipe, official calls a penalty, change of possession, after a goal, for an injury, end of the quarter or a technical foul.
